So if you are a regular reader of my blog, you will know that I love Gosh and that it easily takes the number one spot on my list for “drugstore makeup products” not only is the quality really good, the brand is cruelty free and it’s really well priced. Gosh has gone back to their roots and is now known as Gosh Copenhagen and they recently sent me 3 of their new products to try, so here is a breakdown of each product and what I thought of each one!
Boombastic Swirl Mascara
The container is vibrant green and gives you a feel for the infused bamboo extract while the swirled O matches the mascara wand, which is a giant swirled rubber brush with bristles at the tip grabbing even the tiniest lashes for application. The unique spiral shaped combination of bristles and discs creates spectacular volume and length.
This mascara promises swirl up volume and spectacular length. The formula of the mascara is said to be full-bodied, creamy and really spreadable, I found it a little bit more runny than the average mascara but it applies really well and is spreadable as promised. It truly blackens and slightly thickens the lashes without making them look clumpy or spidery and adds length and a bit of a curl. I’ve found this mascara works best when used with an eyelash curler. The tip of the mascara wand really helps with mascara application to the lashes in the corners of my eyes as well as my bottom lashes. The added Argan Oil and Bamboo Extract gives lashes a boost whilst a synergy of waxes and olive oil adds nourishing properties to the formula.
The present Boombastic mascara is one of the bestselling mascaras within the GOSH Cosmetics mascara assortment.
Matt Velvet Touch Lipstick
I received this lipstick in Classic Red and the range promises to deliver long-lasting pure colour with a matt finish. The formula is creamy and I experienced smooth and even application it’s long-lasting and highly pigmented, the end result is a perfect intense red lip. Velvet Touch Lipsticks are enriched with natural waxes and hyaluronic acid to moisturise, hydrate, smooth and sooth lips as well as to promote a pleasant wearing comfort throughout the day. I didn’t experience this lipstick to be drying, as with a lot of matt lip colours so the moisturising ingredients mentioned is really doing the job! To top it off these are paraben free.
Gel Look Top Coat
This gel look top coat acts like a manicure perfector. Thanks to its volumizing texture your nails are covered by a thick and glossy film. It also creates a protective shield that helps to prevent your manicure against external damage, after application your manicure is left with a shiny and smooth finish. I have a ton of natural oils in my nails, so nail polishes never last long (even salon done mani’s) so reviewing this product’s longevity won’t be really fair. What I can tell you however is that the finish really is glossy and resembles a gel overlay and I get a day’s extra wear out of most of my favourite polishes with this top coat. I really love the broad applicator brush, it really makes application a breeze!
I would love to get my hands on a pink shade of the Velvet Touch Lipstick, have you tried any of these products yet? Let me know by leaving me a comment!
