A while ago I was contacted by a company called Postbox Courier, what is Postbox Courier you may ask? Well that is the same question I asked myself and this is what I found out!

Postbox-Courier is a South African company that offers locally based online shoppers or businesses looking to import goods into this country and neighbouring states a reliable, efficient and affordable solution that will save them up to 70% of the shipping costs. It provides customers with a personal central delivery point in the US, UK or China, to which their online purchases are sent, and we then group their purchases into one delivery and ship to South Africa within a three-day to five-day period. In this way, they are able to save online shoppers and businesses up to 70% on their shipping costs to South Africa as well as supply a secure and reliable method.

Postbox Courier was kind enough to give me a R1000 shipping voucher to try out their service and this is how it works:

Unlike many other services like this the registration is absolutely FREE and it’s really easy to create and set up your account. After creating an account you will receive personalized  postbox addresses for the United Kingdom, the United States, Hong Kong, UAE and South Africa.  After you set up your account you just need to decide where you would like to shop. Think about stores like ColourPop – where I ordered from, Too Faced Makeup Revolution, Sephora, eBay and Amazon, the options are endless.

As soon as your order has been shipped from your selected store and you’ve received your tracking information you navigate to “Parcel Manager” on the Postbox Courier site after logging in and select Parcel Pre-Alert and fill out all the required details to notify Postbox Courier that your parcel is on its way. Postbox Courier will request your order invoice at this point for custom purposes. As soon as your parcel arrives at Postbox Courier they will calculate your shipping rates, you will receive an email informing you how much it is together with a link to where you can make a payment using PayPal or any mayor credit card.

Your order then gets shipped to South Africa, Postbox Courier takes care off the customs clearance on your behalf, if your order is R499 or less you won’t pay any customs fees but everything R500 and above will be charged. Postbox Courier will at this point send you an invoice for your custom fees and you will receive your parcel as soon as you send through your proof of payment. The entire process after Postbox Courier receives your parcel takes 3 – 5 days.

Now for something really fun! Postbox Courier is giving 5, yes 5, lucky readers a R1000 shipping voucher. SO 5 of my readers will get to shop to their heart’s content and have their parcel shipped to South Africa, a R1000 will entitle you to a 3kg shipment from New York, 4.5kg from London or 2.75kg from Hong Kong.

The giveaway will run from today, the 1st of April until midnight on the 21st of April, good luck everyone! PS. Read the instructions on Raffelcopter carefully!

Please note! The voucher will only cover your shipping costs and cannot be used to redeem custom fees
